Areas of Expertise

Our Bachelor of Laws degree is accredited with the Supreme Court of New South Wales as satisfying the academic requirements for admission to practice in New South Wales, and offers accredited professional legal training (PLT) to UWS law students.

The school has specialist expertise in commercial law including taxation law, banking, finance and investment law, contracts and corporations law. We also have expertise in alternative dispute resolution and mediation.

Our staff are active in teaching and research in areas including family law, human rights, public international law, employment, torts, criminal justice, wills and succession and administrative law.

The school introduced the first elder law course in Australia and provides training, consultancy and research in this emerging area of the law.
