About iPads at UWS
Information about the iPad initiative
The iPad initiative will assist academic staff in the delivery of cutting edge learning and teaching as we continue to develop our Blended Learning Strategy in 2013. UWS will continue this initiative into 2014.
This mobile technology will enable students to engage with the growing number of online services – which will include online lectures, live web streaming of lectures, library services, apps and other tools which aim to provide the best possible learning and university experience. These online and off-campus options will complement face-to-face teaching which will remain core to learning and teaching at UWS.
The iPad distribution is just part of a comprehensive curriculum renewal strategy at UWS to provide more innovative, relevant, engaging and flexible study options to students and embed technology in the curriculum in 2013 and beyond. Using a blended learning model, the University will work with staff and students to create new ways of engaging with knowledge in online, face-to-face, community and work-based settings.
