The Macarthur Clinical School is the inaugural Clinical School of the University of Western Sydney's School of medicine. Located at Campbelltown Hospital, the School brings together expert medical teachers and newly renovated clinical training facilities to create outstanding opportunities for clincial education.

Clinical School Facilities

Macarthur Clinical School provides excellent conditions for learning. The administrative staff and the clinical tutors provide a friendly atmosphere and are felxible and supportive in their approach.

The Clinical School has four tutorial rooms set up. One room is used to provide experience in communication and examination withthe use of video and a one way mirror for observation and teaching.

The Clinical Skills Laboratory provides a simulated environment where students can participate in a safe learning space before proceeding to the ward situation. Students will be taught and practice all clincial skills including resusitation, venepuncture and cannulation. Simulation mannequins are used, reflecting international best practice.

Macarthur's supportive working environment makes for high student morale and the administrative team of the School is ready to respond to inquiries, and together with the doctors and nursing staff, are keen to help in any way they can.
