University target by 2015:  For Research Income to exceed $25million by 2015 based on an annual growth rate of 8% p.a

The University has developed UWS and School KPI targets  (PDF, 149kB) (opens in a new window) for the period of 2010 to 2015 in support of the UWS research outcomes target.


There are a number of key factors that will influence achievement of the UWS research outcomes target. These factors are important individually and in combination, and are:

  • Research will be broader based with more active research groups underpinning the high performing research centres
  • Achievement of significant growth in research activity in the areas of Health, Science and Technology
  • College of Business research and consultancy will have direction, which will result in a significant increase in the level of activity
  • Establishment of a strong reputation in applied research in GWS and beyond
