Postgraduate LoadUWS Target

University target by 2015: To achieve an increase in Domestic Postgraduate and Research Load to 3,300 EFTSL which comprises the following:

a) Commonwealth Supported Postgraduate (CSP) Coursework Load to increase to 2,000 EFTSL by 2013 and then remain stable.

b) To achieve a 5% p.a increase in Fee Paying Postgraduate Coursework Load each year to 2015.

c) To achieve a 5% p.a increase in Higher Degree Research Load each year to 2015 (based on 2009 levels).

The University has developed UWS and School KPI targets (PDF, 189Kb) (opens in a new window) for the period of 2010 to 2015 in support of the UWS postgraduate students targeted full-time equivalent enrolments (load).

There are a number of key factors that will influence achievement of the UWS postgraduate targeted enrolments (load). These factors are important individually and in combination, and are:

  • Internal funding increased to enable funding of both domestic and international HRD scholarships
  • Continuation of targeted Honours Scholarship program
  • Increase available supervisors in all disciplines
