Sports and Rules
Due to the size of the competition ladder, one day has been allocated for each of the four sports. Preliminary matches will be played throughout the morning and early afternoon, followed by knockout matches. Games will take place between 9am and 5pm depending on the sport.
Teams will be divided into pools of 5 teams and will compete in Round Robin matches. Teams will be ranked on their performance in these matches and the top two teams from each pool will go through to the knockout stage. Only winning teams will advance through the knockout rounds with semi-finals each day determining the Gold medal playoffs on the same day of the event being played.
This year Volleyball has been replaced by Indoor Soccer (Futsal) as a sport. The other traditional sports of Basketball, Netball and Touch Football remain on the program.
Note that it is compulsory for each participant (Staff Included) to be in possession of a valid University identification card. Any person without a valid university identification card will not be permitted to compete.
Rules are subject to change where time does not permit.
