The Margot Hardy Gallery is again displaying works from some of Western Sydney’s up-and-coming young artists, this time with a photographic display from students at St Gregory’s College, Campbelltown.

The St Gregory’s College Photography Exhibition consists of a collection of student works from students in the years 9 to 12 Photography and Digital Media classes. The artworks have been produced in class as part of units of work including Elements of Design and Composition, Portraiture, Landscape and Photo 6 Briefs.

“The artworks displayed exemplify the well-rounded capabilities of the photography and digital media students at St Gregory’s,” says Loren Keir, Art Teacher, St Gregory’s College Campbelltown.

“The students are encouraged to explore the functions and uses of digital cameras, Photoshop and editing techniques, composition, arranging an image, and studio style lighting progressing to produce a body of work. Being able to exhibit their work is very beneficial for the students as producing something worthy of admiration by others is always one of their aims.”

The official opening of the St Gregory’s College Photographic Exhibition was held on Friday 11 October 2013 and the exhibition will run until Friday 1 November.
