Western Sydney CommUNIty Forum
A CommUNIty forum hosted by the University of Western Sydney on Wednesday 7 August provided an opportunity for members of the Western Sydney community to connect and engage directly with their local university.
CommUNIty Forums are an initiative of Universities Australia(opens in a new window) helping connect universities with local communities and influence the future education agenda.
The Forum, "A Brave New West: What place does higher education have in growing urban regions?", was held on the Parramatta campus and included a diverse panel:
- Senator Marise Payne(opens in a new window), Liberal Senator for NSW
- Professor Phillip O’Neill, UWS Urban Research Centre and School of Social Sciences and Psychology
- Christine Cawsey, principal, Rooty Hill High School(opens in a new window)
- David Borger, Western Sydney director, NSW Business Chamber(opens in a new window)
