Biography
Mark is a lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, having joined UWS in June 2010. He has 16 years teaching experience in Higher Education in the UK and is a registered nurse in the UK and Australia.
Mark is the Academic Course Advisor for the Master of Mental Health Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) and Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health). Mental health nursing is the primary focus of his teaching and he has a particular interest in the biological aspects of mental health nursing, including psychopharmacology.
Mark is a PhD candidate at UWS. The title of his thesis is:
Intention to pursue a career in mental health nursing among undergraduate students (INTENT) project.
Mark is a member of Mental Health Nurse Academics (UK) and the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and the International Journal of Mental Health Nursing.
