Throughout the year there are a number of events available for prospective students, parents and friends, careers advisers and teachers to attend.
2013 UWS Day
UWS Day offers senior high school students the opportunity to experience a day on a UWS Campus. The event will provide students with the opportunity to speak to current UWS students and academic staff, experience the range of courses available at UWS though presentations and workshops and to learn about scholarships, pathway programs and opportunities to advance their success.

Education Expo

The UWS Education EXPO is the one event that has everything you need for your career, education and more.
The Expo brought to you by the University of Western Sydney in collaboration with TAFE and UWSCollege the Education Expo is a free event specifically designed for all people interested in further education opportunities.
You will find information on a full range of options, including UWS undergraduate and postgraduate, UWSCollege and TAFE programs. You will be able to meet with your future lecturers and talk through options with our academic advisors.
When: Saturday 18 May, 2013 from 10am to 3pm

Expo admission staff will be there to assess your qualifications and provide advice on the best program for you and how to navigate the admission process. You will also be able to seek advice on application deadlines, enrolment, finance and various pathways to university, and discover more about living on campus, facilities and student life.

Mothering 2013 Conference

Opportunities, advancements and future directions towards normal birth.
This conference aims to:
- Examine current research into outcomes for women and babies in different places of birth and models of care.
- Explore current controversies and beliefs around normal birth research and opportunities.
- Provide health providers with knowledge and tools to support the goals of towards normal birth.
- Inspire midwives to think about the long term implications for mothers and babies of keeping birth normal.
Keynote Speaker: Professor Deborah Davis
Deborah has worked as a privately practicing midwife in Australia providing care to women choosing both home and hospital births. She has many years experience teaching in undergraduate (Bachelor of Midwifery) and postgraduate midwifery programs including the supervision of Higher Degree by Research students. She is active in the profession of midwifery, serving as Director on the National Board of the Australian College of Midwives. Deborah is particularly interested in place of birth and how the environment impacts on the practice of midwifery and the experiences and outcomes of women and their supports and continuity of midwifery led care.

UWS FIRST AID COURSES - 2013
Who:
This training is provided with courses that have First Aid Certificates as a requirement specifically in mind, however, they are open to all students.

- First Aid Certificate.
