Campus Corner
Welcome to the new library website!
The library has migrated to a new website, enhanced search interface and updated library system. The new website includes a clearer menu structure, the introduction of a ‘how-to’ guides menu and live opening hours are now listed on the front page.
An upgrade to the search box has integrated My Library services, making it easier to renew or request items and enabling to you to bookmark e-resources and physical resources via your My Library account. You can also personalise results and save search queries in your My Library account and the stand-alone Library catalogue search has been removed.
Extended hours in study hall mode (opens in a new window) are once again offered at Parramatta, Campbelltown and Bankstown in Spring semester.
To provide feedback or for more information, please contact the Library (opens in a new window).
August is Sustainability Month
To celebrate UWS’s commitment to sustainability, competitions and activities will be held throughout August. Get involved in Sustainability Month by joining the sustainability trivia competitions, a cup design competition, recycled fashion workshops or green cleaning stalls. There will also be giveaways throughout the month, including fruit and seed pots, and if you’ve been meaning to do something with the countless plastic shopping bags you’ve accumulated or those stinky old sneakers, you’ll be able to easily recycle them at convenient drop-off locations on-campus.
Find out more about what will be happening on your campus on the uwsconnect webpage (opens in a new window). More information on the University’s sustainability initiatives can be found on the Sustainability webpage (opens in a new window).
Share your UWS photos!
Do you have a great UWS photo or video? Why not share it? UWS is seeking to create a collection of photos and videos that capture real experiences of life at UWS – from playing sport and studying to getting involved in campus events, or perhaps you’re working on something in the design studio or doing a science experiment.
Selected Instagram photos by users following @universityofwesternsydney that use the hashtag #lifeatUWS and tag @universityofwesternsydney may be published on the UWS Facebook site and the uwsconnect digital screens around campus – so keep an eye out for your photos!
