Changing Gears - Engaging in Challenging Conversations
Facilitator/Trainer Phillip Marler - OD
Intended for all staff
Description
This one day workshop will equip you with practical strategies for taking action and engaging in challenging conversations. Challenging Conversations are an important part of dealing with people and working effectively with team members, managers, peers, colleagues, clients and staff. Is it possible that a conversation (or avoiding having one) is keeping you from addressing problems, issues and achieving the result you need? Whatever the issue – from discussing poor performance to declining quality, lack of teamwork or improving work relationships – all can benefit from a planned, considered approach when engaging in a challenging conversation.
Having the conversation could be stressful. Not having the conversation can be equally stressful - or worse, and possibly lead to unintended and unpalatable consequences. When is it appropriate to have a challenging conversation?
