Intended for Staff who have been identified to act as wardens.
Description
All building occupants at UWS need to be aware of what to do in an emergency. Staff who have been identified to act as wardens in each building need to be trained in facilitating a response to an emergency. This two hour session will also provide an overview of the evacuation process and what to look for before, during and after an event.
This workshop will enable participants to:
- comply with UWS emergency management procedures
- identify hazards during an evacuation
- identify evacuation route and any complications
- state the role and responsibilities of wardens at assembly points
- demonstrate the practical use of fire extinguishers.
This course is part of the Organisational Knowledge and Policies program.
