Intended for all professional staff who are involved in assisting in the management of student academic misconduct issues, including staff who have attended an earlier information workshop.

This information workshop has been designed to assist Professional staff who assist in the management of student academic misconduct issues by familiarising them with the processes and procedures.

Who should attend?

All professional staff  who are involved in assisting in the management of student academic misconduct issues, including staff who have attended an earlier information workshop. The workshop will be beneficial for:

  • school staff who provide secretarial support at interviews related to student academic misconduct matters
  • staff members with a responsibility for record-keeping in relation to student academic misconduct matters
  • staff members from Academic Registrar's office who attend Head of School interviews to advise on procedural fairness

Note: There is a separate workshop for Academic Staff.

Learning Objectives

This workshop will enable participants to:

  • follow and apply the University’s Student Academic Misconduct Policy and Procedures
  • recognise  the roles and responsibilities of staff involved in the various stages of operating the Student Academic Misconduct Policy
  • recognise the importance of managing academic misconduct processes in accordance with the policy, and the risks of failing to do so
  • understand the principles of procedural fairness in the context of processing student academic misconduct allegations

This course is part of the Organisational Knowledge and Policies program.
