Organisational Development - "Making the Difference" through Learning and Development

The Office of Organisational Development (OD) offers a range of professional development courses and services available to all UWS staff. OD provides professional development, training and support for:

  • organisational development activities including planning and change management, quality management and performance management
  • building organisational knowledge through seminars on higher education issues, University policies and systems
  • enhancing management and leadership capabilities, individual capabilities and team development
  • colleges, divisions, schools and units in their planning, quality management and change processes.

OD also:

  • provides support for professional network forums for various staff groups
  • reports on organisation wide staff development and training activities
  • provides advice and support in the development and implementation of strategies and policies relating to organisational and staff development initiatives
  • provides advice and support on career options and workplace issues.

Service Commitment

The Office of Organisational Development has developed a Service Commitment for participants undertaking our programs. We continuously monitor and review our professional development service to ensure high standards are maintained.

Cancellation Policy

If a course has to be cancelled, you will be advised at least five days before the date of the course. If you are unable to attend a course, please advise the office as soon as possible so that another person may be allocated your place. If you do not attend a course you have registered for, and have not notified us, a late cancellation/non-attendance fee of $50 may be charged against your school/unit. Contact the office at od@uws.edu.au.

Location 

Unless otherwise stated all programs are located at Frogmore House, Building AA, Werrington North campus. Courses may also be provided at other locations. Two meeting rooms and the Staff IT Lab at Frogmore House are located on the first floor. If you require disabled access or have special requirements, please advise us at od@uws.edu.au so that alternate arrangements can be made.
