Congratulations on being part of the inaugural Mentoring Program at UWS.

The University’s Our People 2015 staffing strategy provides the context for and demonstrates the organisational readiness for the introduction of a mentoring program at UWS. Our People 2015 ‘recognises the importance of Tree in Palm of Handattracting, retaining, recognising, rewarding and developing high quality staff. Mentoring is an important aspect of career and professional development and assists in building a high-performing, competent and collegial workforce needed to achieve the University’s goals and aspirations. Mentoring supports staff to broaden their knowledge, skills, capabilities and experience, enabling increased employee engagement and work satisfaction’.

The Vice-Chancellor and Senior Executive have endorsed the Mentoring Program that you have now begun.

During this program you will meet with your Mentoring partner, attend supportive workshops, and contribute to building a culture of collaborative learning and development.

We look forward to working with you.
