This module aims to help UWS staff members engage in effective, efficient and professional online communication.
The module consists of five topics:
- Greetings and Salutations – subject headings and signoffs
- Style and Content – appearance and language
- Managing Discussions – professional correspondence
- Compliance – legal requirements
- Tips and tricks – simulations of Outlook functions.
Learning Objectives
After completing this online module you should be able to:
- create organised and professional emails
- identify the range of factors that maintain professional style, tone and content
- discern when it is appropriate to respond via email and how to do so professionally.
