Prerequisite Participants must have completed Word Intermediate or have equivalent knowledge.
Description
Need to know how to handle long documents such as a thesis, book or other long publications? These documents are often so large they become cumbersome and unwieldy to use.
This course covers styles, captions and headers and footers to give consistency to the formatting of long documents, use cross-referencing, footnote and endnote functions, how to create Word templates and produce table of contents, table of figures and indexes.
Learning Objectives
This course will enable participants to:
- use Word to produce a simple master document with sub-documents
- identify, use and apply a range of Word functions to modify the main and sub-documents using the outline view
- use manuals and online help.
