Parking at UWS

Carpark at UWS

As signposted on entry, UWS campuses are restricted parking areas. UWS operates a paid parking system on all campuses, with the exception of Nirimba Education Precinct, Blacktown campus, which is governed by a community title. All vehicles parked on a UWS campus must, in accordance with the UWS Traffic and Parking Policy, display a valid UWS parking permit on the lower, driver’s side windscreen/dash.

One Day Parking Permits

Pay and display one day parking permits are available from the pay and display permit machines located in the parking areas of each UWS campus (refer to the campus maps for the exact location of the permit machines). Permit machines accept cash and credit cards and entitle the holder to park in yellow car park bays.

Scratch and display one day parking permits are available for the delegated officers of UWS Divisions, Units, Colleges and Schools to purchase in multiples of ten. To purchase (i.e. for invited guests or event attendees), complete the Scratch and Display One Day Parking Permit Order Form.

Annual Parking Permits

To find out how to purchase an annual UWS parking permit that will best suit your needs, please refer to either of the following:

Annual parking permits are valid up to 31 December of the year of purchase.

Note: UWS does not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to any vehicle or loss or damage to any article or thing in or upon any vehicle, or for any injury to any person, howsoever such loss, damage or injury may arise.

Alternatives to Parking on Campus

UWS endeavours to provide sufficient parking bays on all campuses, however, having a valid parking permit does not guarantee the availability of parking. At the beginning of each teaching period, demand for car parking on some UWS campuses is expected to exceed availability. Drivers are, therefore, encouraged to explore other options for travelling to UWS campuses (i.e. bus or train) or allow extra time for locating available parking.

Public Transport

Information about how to travel to a UWS campus via bus or train can be found in the UWS Transport Access Guides (TAGs). To download a TAG, please see the Campus webpages.

Shuttle Buses

UWS operates free shuttle buses for the Parramatta and Penrith campuses. For route and bus stop information, please see the Campus webpages.
