Upgrade/downgrade your parking permit
iPay
If you purchased your permit via the UWS iPay System and wish to upgrade/downgrade your purchase, you will firstly need to purchase the permit that better suits your needs. You can then return the original permit with written request to UWS Parking for a full refund.
The UWS iPay System does not allow you to pay, or be refunded, the difference between the two permits.
Salary sacrifice/salary deduction
To upgrade/downgrade a permit purchased by salary sacrifice/salary deduction you must submit a Staff Application for Parking Permit Deductions Form [DOC, 76 KB] (opens in a new window), nominating "Upgrade/Downgrade" in the first selection panel, and submit it to UWS Parking.
Once UWS Parking have received your application to upgrade/downgrade your permit, a temporary permit will be issued to you, as you will be required to return your original permit before the new permit is issued to you.
Refunds
Students who have purchased a parking permit and withdraw from study at UWS may be entitled to a refund if they:
- Purchase a permit prior to March 31 and withdraw from their study at the University before census (March 31)
- Purchase a permit between June 1 and August 31 and withdraw from their study at the University before census (August 31)
Staff who have purchased an annual or half year permit via iPay and withdraw their employment at the University may be entitled to a refund upon written request to UWS Parking.
For a refund to be processed, students and staff must make a written request to UWS Parking and return their permit along with validation of withdrawal from study or employment.
If payment for the permit was made by credit card via the UWS iPay System the funds will be reimbursed on to the credit card that made the original purchase. If payment was made via BPAY or at Australia Post, a cheque for the refunded amount will be issued to the address on the permit record.
For further information on refunds, please refer to the UWS Parking and Traffic Policy.
