Induction to Learning and Teaching

Induction to Learning and Teaching is provided each semester for all new sessional teaching staff at UWS. Sessional Induction comprises a school-based, mandatory 3 hour session focusing on:
  • assessment
  • teaching large classes and small classes
  • academic misconduct and minimising plagiarism
Each of the topics is explored within the context of School/discipline teaching and assessment practices, and the roles of the group of sessional staff attending. New sessional staff are paid to attend school-based Induction to Learning and Teaching.
