Transport and Housing

Initiatives and Information

Did you know the average Australian car travels 15,000km per year, emitting around 4 tonnes of carbon dioxide pollution into the atmosphere?

RCE-GWS has identified sustainable transports as a key challenge for the region. Transport, such as cars and trucks that burn petroleum, are a significant cause of air pollution and a major contributor to global warming – not to mention the associated traffic congestion.
