Qualifications
Rian completed his B.A. from the Department of Islamic Law at the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He also holds a Diploma in Arabic Linguistics from the Islamic University of Madinah as well as an Advanced Diploma of Arts from the University of New England.
Research Interests
Rian's research interests include: Islamic Studies, Political Islam, Indonesian History, Political Thought; Political Theory; Contemporary Political Philosophy; International Relations Theories; Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asian Politics, Islam in Indonesia, Islam and the State in Indonesia, and Indonesian Studies.
