2010 Three Minute Thesis
UWS 2010 Winners
Mr Michael Antrum hosted the 3MT final at UWS Bankstown campus, 19 August 2010 with a judging panel of Professor Barbara Holland, Professor Bob Hodge and Ms Aggie Lim.
First Prize - Samantha Lupton, School of Medicine
Samantha is enrolled in a PhD, thesis topic; Retinopathy in Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy. Samantha will represent UWS at the national finals at the University of Queensland in September. Over 30 universities are competing for prizes of; First prize of $5 000, runner-up prize of $2 000 and people’s choice prize of $1 000. Prize money to be spent on a research related expense such as conference attendance.
The People’s Choice Winner was also Samantha Lupton.

Thesis Topic: Molecular and Physiological Factors Influencing Low Temperature Breakdown in Stone Fruit.

Third Prize - Katrina Sandbach, Doctor of Creative Arts candidate in the School of Communication Arts.
Thesis Topic: The Role of Graphic Design in Creating Inspirational Places.
