Description

What does impact mean for law research outputs? Abstract: The Australian Higher Education sector is in uncertain times. Apart from the real possibility of increased student fees and reduced Federal Government funding mounting pressure exists on academics to produce research outcomes. The discipline of law is in an unusual position. There is no real framework to determine what is meant by research outcomes or what is meant by research impact. Another associated question relates to for what purpose do we want to measure research outcomes or research impact. Does it relate to academic promotion, sabbatical, or career advancement?
