Delegations on Research Projects

The Chief Investigator on a project is given Delegation as a Designated Chief Researcher (DCR). As a DCR you have delegated authority as per the UWS Delegations Policy, however there are restrictions to this delegation such as ‘cannot self reimburse’ and ‘maximum expenditure of $10 000 in one transaction’. When your project is set up by the Office of Research Services you will receive notification and a Delegations Form to sign. Once you have returned the signed Delegations Form your delegation will be set up on the Delegations Register.

You will be unable to authorise transactions on your account until delegation is set up for your project account.
