Preparing a Grant Application

To ensure that legal and administrative requirements are met, including evidence for research workload negotiations, it is essential that all external research funding applications are lodged through the Office of Research Services. Please view the Life Cycle of a Research Grant (PDF, 369Kb).

Applications should also be lodged at least five working days prior to the external closing date, and be accompanied by a completed and signed External Research Proposal Clearance form (Word, 102Kb).

Contact a Research Development Officer who specialises in your research area as early as possible, so they can provide assistance to you throughout the grant writing process and maximise your chances of success.
