
UWS Postgraduate Research Awards are funded by the University of Western Sydney. These awards are allocated according to academic merit and the alignment of the proposed project with the UWS Research Plan.
The award provides a tax-free stipend ($20 007 in 2008), with a relocation allowance if applicable. The award also provides a thesis allowance and a Research Training Scheme place.
UWS top-up of a maximum of $10 000 may be available.
Persons eligible for admission to a research degree, and having or expecting to attain a first class bachelors honours or equivalent may apply. Demonstrated research experience and/or publications can assist the application.
International candidates may not apply for these awards.
The award is tenable only at the University of Western Sydney.
Applications must be lodged by 31 October each year.
The 2009 Research Admission and Scholarship Application will be available in May 2008.
