Hawkesbury Foundation Scholarship in Food Science & Nutrition

Working in partnership with the Hawkesbury Alumni Chapter, the UWS Hawkesbury Foundation is committed to the creation of support and assistance for the academic development of the students and staff of the UWS Hawkesbury Campus.

Available: There is one scholarship in 2009

Scholarship Benefits: $5 000 for one year

Duration: Paid in two instalments for one year only

Course(s): A full-time Bachelor of Food Science or Bachelor of Nutrition and Food at the Hawkesbury Campus

Eligibility to apply

Applicants must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
  • Be a commencing student starting at UWS for the first time; and
  • Have completed their HSC not more than three years prior to commencement.

Application Process and Selection: Applicants should apply using the Group B – Donor Funded Scholarships Application Form available on the How to Apply webpages.

Applicants must ensure that they complete the personal statement section of the application which requires you to outline your interest and/or experience in a food or related industry.

Selection of this scholarship will be determined on the basis of your academic record and personal statement. Short-listed applicants may be required to attend an interview and must ensure their availability to attend. 

Conditions of the Scholarship: Recipients must remain in full-time study (40 credit points of study per semester) and maintain a minimum GPA of four (pass average).
