Blacktown City Council - Jim Anderson Memorial Academic Excellence Scholarship

What you get

$5 000 per year for the duration of your course, excluding Honours

Who should apply?

Commencing students from the Blacktown City Council Local Government Area pursuing full-time study in any UWS undergraduate degree should apply for this scholarship.

To get the scholarship

Your academic potential will be demonstrated by achieving a minimum UAI score of 90. You must have been a resident of the Blacktown Local Government Areas for the year prior to applying for the scholarship, and must be a 2007 HSC candidate, or have completed the HSC in 2006 if you took a gap year.

Selection

Selection will be made on the basis of each applicant’s UAI score.

Conditions for keeping the scholarship

Recipients must remain in full-time study and retention of the scholarship after the first year is subject to a minimum credit average (GPA 5.0 or greater) being maintained and reported to Council. Recipients must also continue to be a resident of Blacktown for the duration of the scholarship.
