Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation Scholarship in Animal Science, Agriculture, Environmental Management and Science.

The late Sir Vincent Fairfax was a leading member of the business community who was passionate about issues concerning rural Australia. He was a philanthropist in life,  and after his death his family established the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation to reflect his enduring values and vision. Throughout his life, Vincent was a firm believer that wealth and influence bought with it a responsibility to support the community, and in keeping with this principal, UWS in partnership with the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation, has established a scholarship to support two UWS students in their studies. 

Available: There are two scholarships in 2009

Scholarship Benefits: $5 000 for one year

Duration: Paid for one year only

Course(s): A full-time Bachelor of Agriculture; Bachelor of Animal Science or Bachelor of Environmental Management and Science at the Hawkesbury Campus.

Eligibility to apply

Applicants must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
  • Be a commencing student starting at UWS for the first time; and
  • Have completed their HSC not more than two years prior to commencement.

Application Process and Selection: Applicants should apply using the Group B – Donor Funded Scholarships Application Form available on the How to Apply webpages.

Selection of this scholarship will be determined on the basis of the highest UAI.

Conditions of the Scholarship: Recipients must remain in full-time study (40 credit points of study per semester) and maintain a minimum GPA of four (pass average).
