SELP (Social Engagement and Leadership Program)

SELP is a fantastic social engagement and leadership program open to UWS students.

SELP will give you a chance to build skills that will jump start your global career. Skills like problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as giving you the opportunity to engage with the community in a fun team environment.

SELP Orientation and Launch

SELP Orientation Session
The orientation session will introduce you to what you will be doing over the six week program. You will meet your SELP class colleagues – current students studying at UWS from Australia and countries around the world all sharing the same desire to jumpstart their career for the global workplace.

SELP Launch
Be inspired by Marion Grasby as she speaks about leadership qualities and social engagement at the SELP launch.

Since gaining a loyal legion of fans on Channel Ten's Masterchef,  Marion has released a cookbook, fulfilled her lifelong dream to create her own food range business called Marion’s Kitchen, and put together a crew to film her very own cooking adventure in Thailand.

Marion counts her successful product range as one of her biggest achievements to date.  Marion’s Kitchen is now stocked in the Asian section of about 3000 stores across Australia as well as selected supermarkets in South Africa.

Marion has Bachelor Degrees in Law and Journalism and worked for three years as an ABC TV and radio reporter.
