What is the Postgraduate Research Colloquium ?

The aim of the postgraduate research colloquium is to receive valuable feedback from supervisors and other academic staff on your research and learn about other candidates’ research. Candidates are encouraged to present research they are undertaking for their thesis and discuss theoretical and meth-odological issues arising from their research. Alternatively, candidates who are presenting their work at other seminars or conferences can use the colloquium as an opportunity to further develop their papers and receive valuable feedback.

Who should participate ?

All research candidates that have successfully completed their confirmation of candidature in the Masters by Research or Doctor of Philosophy programs are required to make at least one presentation. If you are unable to participate please email to Business Research stating your reasons.

Abstract

Students should submit a 400-600 word abstract of their presentation via email to Business Research. The abstract must be submitted as a Word document, by 20 June 2013.

The abstract must include a title for the presentation and Name and Student Number of the presenter.

Registration

Please forward the following details to Business Research via email:

• Your Name
• The Discipline area that you are study (e.g.. Finance, marketing etc)
• Thesis title
• Full time or Part time student
• Name of Principal Supervisor
• Expected thesis submission date
