David Mutton

Biography
David is the Director of Engagement and Internationalisation for the School. He is also the coordinator of the first year psychology programs. David was appointed to the position of Senior Lecturer on the Master of Forensic Psychology program at the University of Western Sydney in 2001. Prior to this appointment, he has worked in the Police Psychology Section, NSW Police Service for 11 years, initially as the Senior Psychologist and then as Chief Psychologist. From 1980 to 1990, he was a Psychologist with the NSW Department of Corrective Services. He is past Chair of the NSW Section of the College of Forensic Psychologists and has been an active member and office bearer of the Australian Psychological Society since 1989.
David is especially experienced in the treatment and diagnosis of stress related conditions including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and critical incident stress management. He is also an authority on issues of crime and imprisonment. He is an experienced trainer in the areas trauma management programs. David has extensive experience in the testing and selection of employees gained through the Corrective Services and the Police Service.
