Biography

I have taught in sociology at Macquarie and University of New South Wales. After completing a PhD that conducted a genealogy of contemporary child protection regimes of government, I was appointed to my current position as a lecturer in Criminology.

B.SocSci(Hons) (UNE), GDipEd (UNSW), PhD (Macquarie)

Areas of Research / Teaching Expertise

The governance of child abuse and juvenile crime; Space, culture and crime; Queer sexualities; Post-structural theories, in particular Foucault, and Deleuze and Guattari.

Currently working on a critical evaluation of youth anti-social behaviour initiatives.
