UWS Psychology Clinic is a centre for postgraduate training and research. Psychological services are provided by postgraduate students in their fifth or sixth year of study for a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
All students are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia to practice as provisional psychologists. They work under the supervision of academic staff who are also highly experienced clinical psychologists who hold full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Our Clinic Manager, Ms Ashley Gentle, manages the day-to-day operations of the Clinic. If you have a question about the Clinic please contact Ashley on 4645 7241 or by email.
Associate Professor Rocco Crino is the Senior Clinical Psychologist in charge of the clinical training and services offered to clients. Rocco has over 30 experience as a practising clinical psychologist, and is a leading expert in the treatment of anxiety disorders. He specialises in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Body Dysmorphic Disorder and has developed individualised treatment programs for these and other conditions. He is committed to bringing mental health services to where they are most needed in the community, and to this end, established our partnership with Lifeline Macarthur as a service to the people of the Macarthur region. Rocco also has a monthly column in the local Macarthur Advertiser focussing on common mental health issues.
Ashley, Rocco, and our team of academic supervisors and students all work together to ensure that the provisional psychologists working in the Clinic receive optimal training, and that our clients receive the best possible treatment.
