DEE Postgraduate Research Candidates

Diversities, Ethics and Education Research Program

The DEE EdD program focuses on research-led practice and practice-led research and is designed to build a new generation of education leaders who are critical innovators of research-led professional practice.

Based on the latest international research on the doctorate,  candidates produce three significant research-led innovations in their workplace that are accompanied by scholarly research papers and an evidence-based narrative of their professional development and growth and the impact of their research and professional practice.

The cohort model of delivery is a key part of the DEE EdD program. Course content is tailored to meet the specific needs of each cohort. Candidates work in collaborative, problem-solving teams with different research mentors (supervisors) during candidature so they have access to the best support for the professional and research challenges that they are working to address.

Mentors (supervisors) teaching in the program are nationally and internationally renowned as research experts. They have won multiple competitive research grants, including ARC grants, prestigious state and national teaching awards, and are published in the top ranking journals in their fields.
