Associate Professor Qihan Dong

Qualifications

MD, PhD

Biography

Associate Professor Dong has pursued a career in research after being awarded his PhD in 1992. He then worked as a Fogarty Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, USA. On returning to Sydney in 1996, he was appointed as a Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Cancer Biology Group.

Associate Professor Dong joined the University of Western Sydney as an Associate Professor in Human Genetics in the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences in July 2011.

Since 1996 Associate Professor Dong has supervised many PhD and Master's students. Several of them have now completed their degrees and are working in the biomedical field.

Associated Professor Dong joined the University of Western Sydney as an Associate Professor in Human Genetics in the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences in July 2011.

Associate Professor Dong has taken on the responsibility of supervising Senior Registrars from hospitals. So far, two Senior Registrars have spent one year (full time) in his laboratory.
