Later John commenced teaching Research Methods to students in the School of Nursing and in the School of Business, while operating a private research consultancy. More recently, as a Research Fellow, John joined and remains a member of the UWS, School of Nursing's Aged Care and Palliation (ACAP) research group with interests in dementia and palliative aged care. In 2011 he commenced as a Lecturer with the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences. John's PhD investigated how people respond to risk and return over time in the context of personal financial investment.
