Dr. Henry Liang joined the University of Western Sydney in 2005 as Head of the Traditonal Chinese Medicine (TCM) program (2005 - 2009). He is currently a lecturer and the Uniclinic coordinator for the program. Prior to his UWS appointment, Henry was the Principal of Sydney Institute of TCM (SITCM, 1997 - 2005), where he played a lead role in upgrading and developing TCM courses. He was a key participant in the establishment and development of the academic collaboration between SITCM and UWS.
Dr. Henry Liang holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Guangzhou University of TCM in China. In 2003 he completed his PhD study at RMIT University in Australia with a research project on the role of Chinese herbal medicine for managing lung cancer.
Dr. Liang specialises in supportive cancer care with Chinese herbal medicine. He was the president of the New South Wales Association of Chinese Medicine, and a member of the editorial committee for the Australian Guidelines for Traditional Chinese Medicine Education.

Dr. Henry Liang is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association, and is also the academic advisor for NSW Association of Chinese Medicine.
