Biography

Michelle graduated from the University of Western Sydney (UWS) in 1998 with first class honours. Since that time she has worked primarily in South Western Sydney but also in the UK. Her primary clinical experience is in acute care, rheumatology and gerontology. Michelle's research interests are related to occupational therapy practice in emergency departments and aged care. Michelle has been teaching part time at UWS since 2001 and full time since late 2005.  Michelle is currently undertaking a PhD at UWS.

Research

Michelle is interested in the health of older people and her research work centres around positive health outcomes for older people. More specifically she is interested in preparing students to work in aged care and her clinical research is around occupational therapy assessment of older people in emergency departments.
