Qualifications Nerida Klupp has been a Lecturer in the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences since 2005 and has taught at the University of Western Sydney since 1999. She currently teaches research methods and evidence based practice for Bachelor of Health Science programs. Nerida Klupp was awarded 1st Class Honours and the University Medal (Bachelor of Applied Science UWS) for vascular diagnostic research in 2002 and is now in the final year of her Doctor of Philosophy degree with the Centre for Complementary Medicine Research at the University of Western Sydney.
Nerida Klupp is currently principal investigator for research being conducted through the Cardiovascular Research Group, a collaborative team of researchers from the Centre for Complementary Medicine Research and the Cardiac Health Institute. This research includes a systematic review and clinical trial of the effectiveness of medicinal mushrooms for treatment of cardiovascular risk factors. Ms Klupp’s previous research includes prognostic and diagnostic evaluations of lower limb vascular assessment methods.

Nerida Klupp teaches and develops curriculum in research methods, biostatistics and evidence-based practice for the Bachelor of Health Science programs in the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences. Ms Klupp has particular interest in improving student learning outcomes in research and evidence studies with inquiry-led, evidence-based and professionally relevant curriculum frameworks and teaching techniques.
Ms Klupp has also lectured in podiatric medicine with responsibility for teaching high risk podiatric medicine, diabetes and vascular disorders.
