Julie Old

Biography

Dr Julie Old graduated in September 2002 with a PhD in marsupial immunology and took up a position at Macquarie University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in marsupial immunology. Julie left Macquarie University in February 2006 to join UWS as a Lecturer in Animal Science. She was promoted in 2009 to Senior Lecturer. Julie completed her Masters in Higher Education in 2007 and is currently teaching students in the Agriculture, Animal Science, Biology and Environmental key programs. Julie manages the Native Mammal Facility at the Hawkesbury campus. Her key research interests involve the conservation of Australian native mammals and birds, and native mammal immunology. She is a Senior Researcher and Member of the Native and Pest Animal Unit.
