Participants will discuss modalities, functionalities and take part in example virtual activities both as a participant/student and as a moderator/instructor. Participants will also be introduced to planning and setting up sessions in advance using the Collaborate Plan tool. In this workshop participants will be able to: 1. Discuss key considerations when teaching in a virtual environment 2. Identify tools and functionalities within Collaborate 3. Participate in example virtual activities utilising Whiteboards, Web Tours, Application Sharing and Polls 4. Identify how to create pre-planned reusable sessions The workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to explore the functionality of Blackboard Collaborate and identify how they can utilise it in their teaching. ** These workshops are for UWS and UWS College staff only **Speakers: Tom Bowring and Gina Saliba
