Biography
Dr Alex Ling is Research Lecturer in Communication and Media Studies in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts. His principal research interests are in film theory and the intersections between art, science and philosophy, with especial focus on the work of Alain Badiou, Jacques Rancière and Gilles Deleuze. He is the author ofBadiou and Cinema(Edinburgh UP, 2011) and co-editor and translator (with A. J. Bartlett) of Alain Badiou’sMathematics of the Transcendental (Continuum, forthcoming).
