Biography

Andrew’s research interests include sports coaching, sports performance, physical activity, sport development, as well as teaching and learning in PDHPE. In 2009, Andrew completed his PhD on the topic of effective coaching in professional cricket, rugby league and rugby union.

Andrew has an undergraduate degree in PDHPE teaching (Hons I) and has taught in primary, secondary and tertiary contexts. Andrew has taught various units of study within the PDHPE framework including physical education pedagogy, sports psychology, exercise science, sports administration, and sports medicine.

Andrew also possesses a thorough interest in sport, life-long learning, Australian hip-hop, and contemporary issues such as conservation, sustainability, and globalisation.
