Biography
Born in Sora, Lazio in Italy and emigrated to Australia with his family in 1961. Completed his BA (Hons) at the University of Adelaide in 1981; a Diploma of Education at the Sydney Institute of Education in 1982. Taught in High schools and in TAFE and returned to his studies in 1991 where he completed a Masters degree in Economics in 1993 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics in 1996 at the University of Sydney. He was then employed as an Economist for the Department of Industry, Science and Tourism in Canberra between 1997 and 2000. He was appointed as a Lecturer in Economics at UWS in 2000 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2005.
