Biography
I am currently investigating infant language development in a series of experiments evaluating infant’s ability to detect audio-visual congruence in point-light talking faces using eye-tracking methods. I am particularly interested in elucidating the social and environmental factors that influence speech and language development in infancy and early childhood such as the special speech style infant-directed speech, the impact of hearing-loss and additional complex needs in childhood, the quality of parent-child interaction and factors that adversely affect emotional availability and parent-child communication.
