Biography
Clare Maclean is a composer and teacher of music theory, analysis, arranging and composition. She writes for ensembles in Australia and internationally, and was composer in residence with the St Louis Chamber Chorus (Missouri) from 2006-2011. Her Osanna Mass won the Australian Art Music Award for vocal composition in 2012, and several of her works have been selected to represent Australia in the International Society for Contemporary Music's annual World Music Days. In her reflective practice as a composer, she is interested in the relationship between music and a sense of the numinous or transcendent.
