Doctor Denise Jarratt

Before commencing a career in tertiary education, business experience was gained in both large corporations and in the retail sector, having responsibility for general management, new product development, product management (through the design, implementation and control of strategic marketing planning), and building customer relationships.

Prior to joining UWS as Directotr of Academic Programs - Management, Professor Jarratt was Associate Dean Research at Charles Sturt University, responsible for research development and research activities of the Faculty of Business.  While at CSU she supervised PhD and DBA candidates in the areas of organisational entrepreneurship, marketing strategy, and customer relationship management and was Associate Director of the Centre for Research in Complex Systems.

Dr Jarratt regularly reviews for a number of academic journals in Europe and the USA including the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and the Journal of Business Research, and is on the Editorial Boards of Qualitative Market Research (UK) and the Australasian Marketing Journal.  She has published in a broad range of journals including the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing, Journal of Business Research, International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research, Australian Accounting Review, and the Journal of Strategic Marketing in the areas of marketing capabilities, research methods, marketing strategy, retailing, corporate ethics, relationship marketing and strategic alliances.
